Apples come next, while raspberries and cherries tie in third place, according to the survey by pollster Kantar, as cited by public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
Meanwhile, tomatoes are the top choice of Polish consumers among vegetables, ahead of cucumbers and potatoes, the IAR news agency reported.
It said the survey was commissioned by the National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers and reflected consumer preferences for the whole of last year.
