As the economy bounces back from the coronavirus downturn, sales of clothing and shoes shot up by 55.8 percent in Poland last month in year-on-year terms, and those of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics rose 18.2 percent, the state-run statistics agency said.
Meanwhile, sales of furniture, household appliances and consumer electronics increased by 10.3 percent, and those of food, beverages and tobacco products grew by 2.9 percent, according to the Central Statistical Office.
In terms of current prices, retail sales last month were 21.2 percent higher than in November 2020, the Central Statistical Office said.
In month-on-month terms, retail sales in November were 1 percent lower than in October, the statistics office also reported.
