The Nationwide Boycott of Leroy Merlin previously exposed Leroy Merlin for continuing to sell products from Russia.
Now, in what is perceived as a move designed to mislead customers, certain products have changed their labels - now mentioning Poland instead of Russia.
The Nationwide Boycott and press reports have found that the origin of the products remains unchanged - Russia.
When asked by the Wirtualne Media news website, the company responded that it was only selling (Russian) products "originating from orders prior to 2022."
Public broadcaster Polish Radio in March said it was severing its advertising ties with Leroy Merlin, which continued to operate in Russia despite Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
