Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki hailed the project as “excellent news for the city of Legnica, the surrounding area and the whole Dolnośląskie province.”
As work officially started on the new factory, Morawiecki said the plant would be built by “a family company, with a years-long history of making innovative energy products and industrial projects,” Polish state news agency PAP reported.
He went on to say: “I’m talking about Viessman, a company that has been present in Poland for decades. Our cooperation has been very good.”
3,000 new jobs
Morawiecki told reporters that "the new factory for 3,000 employees will shape the future development of the Legnica region.”
He said that, "in response to Russia’s policy, which leads to discord and uncertainty,” Poland “is attracting more innovative, eco-friendly and low-energy investments.”
Such projects “send a message to our geo-political opponents from the East that we won’t be intimidated,” Morawiecki declared.
He added that "thanks to heat pumps made in Legnica," energy bills for customers "will be reduced in the future."
Morawiecki vowe that his government "will do everything in its power to attract investors who create new jobs, and to make sure that the Polish economy grows in a sustainable way.”
