Meanwhile, average wages in Poland's corporate sector in January increased by 13.5 percent compared with the same month a year earlier, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
The average gross Polish monthly wage last month was PLN 6,883.96 (EUR 1,450, USD 1,550), according to the statistical office.
The figures are for companies with more than nine employees.
Poland’s labour ministry this month estimated that the country's unemployment rate inched up by 0.3 percentage points to 5.5 percent in January.
There were around 858,700 people without jobs across the nation at the end of January, down by 68,400 from a year earlier, according to the government.
