The European Commission said on Monday it had approved "an approximately €346 million (PLN 1.5 billion) Polish scheme to support agricultural producers in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine."
The EU executive added that the support would consist of "limited amounts of aid in the form of subsidised interest rates on loans."
According to the European Commission's statement, "the purpose of the measure is to support the liquidity needs of agricultural producers, which are affected by the current geopolitical crisis."
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
Monday is day 467 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
