The reading was in line with an earlier estimate by the government.
There were around 802,300 people without jobs across the nation at the end of May, compared with 821,900 a month earlier, according to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) office.
The state-run statistics agency reported earlier this month that employment in Polish companies rose 0.4 percent in May on average in year-on-year terms.
According to the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, unemployment in Poland was a modest 2.7 percent in April, marking the lowest rate in the 27-nation bloc.
