Compal, in a statement on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, said it will invest over NT$500 million (USD $15.41 million) to establish the new facility, marking its first manufacturing venture in Europe.
The company plans to spend NT$77.70 million (USD $2.39 million) on land acquisition in Czeladź, southern Poland, and an additional EUR 12.29 million (USD $13.02 million) on construction. The facility is expected to be completed by mid-2025, with production starting by the end of that year.
Compal, already operating an aftersales service center in Poland, aims to meet regional demand in Europe's automotive electronics market. The company’s diverse portfolio includes handheld devices, wearable gadgets, laptops, desktops, IoT applications, servers, and healthcare equipment.
