Around 95,500 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of June, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first half of 2024, at around 122,400 in total, was 43 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 8.9 percent in June in year-on-year terms, while increasing by 5 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said earlier this year in a preliminary estimate.
