Nearly 36.5 million COVID-19 shots administered in Poland: gov't data

A total of 36,499,891 vaccine shots have been administered in Poland so far, including 12,614 over the last 24 hours, officials announced on Monday.

Public health authorities said that 14,954 adverse reactions had been reported among those who received the vaccines by Monday morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 391,290 doses have been wasted in the rollout, according to the Polish health ministry.

As of MondayPoland had injected almost 19.4 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while more than 18.9 million people had been fully inoculated, health ministry data showed.

The tally includes two-dose vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca as well as Johnson & Johnson's one-shot vaccine.

Poland on Monday reported 183 new coronavirus infections and no new deaths related to COVID-19. The latest cases bring the country’s total number of infections during the pandemic to 2,890,666, while the death toll stands at 75,379.
