The event's organizers say that the "exploration of space and the great challenges faced by humankind need us all to work together, and few other fields of science have shown so vividly the importance of collaboration of men and women."
The focus this year is on women, "the unsung heroines of the past," as well as today's researchers "unafraid of challenges and of crossing boundaries ... and the men, who understand that only together we can change the world."
