Poland, one of Ukraine's staunchest allies, pointed fingers at Moscow, raising concerns about escalating tensions between the two neighboring nations.
“Having information that such attacks are being prepared, we immediately informed all interested editorial offices so that they had the opportunity to react to this situation,” Polish digitization minister Janusz Cieszyński told state news agency PAP.
Cieszyński also said that the government had proof of the attack being orchestrated by Russian hackers.
Leading Polish news websites, including Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, and Super Express, were among the targets of the attack.
