The Polish security services are currently searching for the spies who were released from detention in December last year by a Lublin court. One of the individuals, Yaroslav B., was issued a warrant for his arrest on July 3, the newspaper learned.

Yaroslav B. was sentenced to one year and three months in prison for espionage on behalf of Russia. He is a member of the largest spy network ever dismantled in Poland, comprising 16 individuals.

Since January, Yaroslav B. has been in hiding, avoiding his prison sentence. He disappeared immediately after the court replaced his detention with a travel ban and confiscation of his passport in December.

According to the court, citing Lublin police information, the convict is being sought but is not considered missing. A July 3 court order suspended the enforcement proceedings and initiated a search with a warrant.

Another convict, Artur M., who was 16 at the time of his crime, is also on the run. He was released on the day of his sentencing and was supposed to be placed in a juvenile correctional facility.
