If an election were held today, Poland's Civic Coalition (KO) would come out on top, securing enough support to retain control alongside Third Way and the Left, according to an IBRiS poll conducted for the Polish Rzeczpospolita daily.

The poll suggests that the country’s previous ruling nationalist-populist Law and Justice party (PiS), even with support from the right-wing Confederation, would lack the majority needed to govern.

The survey results, published Wednesday in Rzeczpospolita, show KO leading with 31.3% support. This is a slight dip from 33.1% in an October survey by the same agency and lower than other recent surveys, including a CBOS poll showing KO at 33% and a United Surveys poll at 33.6%. Together with Third Way (9.8%) and the Left (8.6%), the coalition would hold a majority with 254 parliamentary seats.

KO’s popularity has grown compared to its performance in the October 15, 2023, parliamentary elections, where it garnered 30.7%. PiS, which previously had 35.38%, now polls below 30%, at 29.6%.

The poll for Rzeczpospolita was conducted on October 25–26, 2024, with a sample of 1,069 respondents.
