The government announced that public consultations on the draft law will begin next week, with plans for it to come into effect by mid-2026.

The new regulations are expected to benefit around 100,000 people with disabilities and their families, providing greater freedom to choose the service providers for personal assistance and offering individualized support.

The goal of the annually observed International Day of Persons with Disabilities is to promote the integration of people with disabilities and equal opportunities for them in the job market and other areas of life.

On this occasion, President Andrzej Duda awarded state decorations to individuals who help this group in the fight against social exclusion.
