In the southern city of Kraków, the 20th anniversary of the New Year's Eve Run took place, with participants dressing up in costumes.
Among the participants were, among others, the Lady with an Ermine from the painting by Leonardo da Vinci (which is part of the collection at the Czartoryski Museum in Kraków), as well as comic book characters – from Batman to Spiderman.

At the same time, a similar event for runners was organized in Łódź, located in central Poland, in the Łagiewnicki Forest, one of the largest urban forests in Europe.
Among the VIPs taking part in the New Year's Eve race was the Polish astronaut from the European Space Agency and the former Olympic speed skating champion Zbigniew Bródka.
