Polish police arrest 36-year-old for shooting at city bus in Warsaw

The incident occurred on Tuesday around 5 p.m. near Chemska Street in the Mokotów district of Warsaw.

The man had a prior record for insults and drug possession. Two days ago, he fired three shots at the closed doors of a city bus on line 119, using an object resembling a weapon, before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance footage, witness testimonies, and excellent operational work by the police led to the suspect's arrest at his home.

During the arrest, officers found an object resembling a weapon, which will be examined to determine if it was used in the incident. The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Warsaw Mokotów District Prosecutor's Office.

The suspect faces up to 5 years in prison for the property damage, as explained by Assistant Commissioner Marta Haberska.
