Museum security at the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau detained the teenager on Sunday and handed him over to local police in Oświęcim.
After reviewing evidence, investigators charged him with propagating Nazism, an offense that carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison in Poland.
The suspect admitted his actions and was fined before being released.
Officials say the teenage visitor voluntarily submitted to punishment.
