Agnieszka Grzechnik, operations director of the initiative, said that families in need will receive various gifts, such as food, household detergents, equipment and furniture such as a kettle or a bed. Many families will also receive coal for heating.
Grzechnik added that volunteers will reach families living in 633 towns and cities all over Poland.
According to the Noble Package report, in 2018 over 2 million Poles lived in extreme poverty, which means that they had no more than PLN 19 (EUR 4.45, USD 4.94) a day to survive.
