The incident took place on Monday night in Yiewsley, a far west London suburb, according to Polish state news agency PAP. Police said Dariusz Wołosz, a resident of that part of London, was attacked after a verbal argument with a group of men.
The 46-year-old Polish national was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wołosz is this year's first homicide victim in London, PAP reported.
Police urged residents in the area to check their home cameras and car video recorders to see if they captured the perpetrators fleeing the scene.
On Friday, a 13-year-old was detained in connection with the fatal stabbing and remains in custody.
PAP reported that in 2021, 122 people were murdered in London, most of them from stabbing. Almost a quarter of the victims were teenagers, making last year the worst on record.
