Further down the list are Germany and Spain (190); Finland, Italy and Luxembourg (189); Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden (188); France, Ireland, Portugal and Britain (187); Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the United States and the Czech Republic (186); and Australia, Canada, Greece and Malta (185).
Poland shares ninth place with Hungary, with the Polish passport giving easy access to 184 nations.
Afghan nationals sit at the bottom of the index, being able to access just 27 countries without requiring a visa in advance.
