The issue also features a cover story on her career headlined “Climate Capitalist: This Billionaire Heiress Is Betting Big On Renewable Energy.”

Apart from the online edition, Kulczyk is set to grace one of the covers of the magazine's printed issues this month.

Forbes’ Jemima McEvoy met with Kulczyk at the Polish businesswoman's London office to discuss her activities and planned investments.

McEvoy reported that the Pole’s decision to prioritise green technologies over fossil fuels was a stroke of genius.

“After her father’s death, billionaire Dominika Kulczyk bet a chunk of her fortune on a renewable energy outfit her brother wanted to discard," McEvoy wrote. "Guess who’s richer now?"

According to Forbes' latest ranking, the Polish businesswoman owns a fortune of USD 1.9 billion, having outperformed her brother Sebastian, who has accumulated an estimated fortune of USD 1.4 billion.

The US magazine reports that Kulczyk has produced some 70 documentary films about climate change, while also highlighting her involvement in a campaign to persuade Poland’s parliament to provide free sanitary pads in schools.

“I’m all about feminine energy,” Kulczyk is quoted as saying.

“But don’t mistake her for a self-indulgent dilettante," the Forbes article says. "While over half of the world’s 337 female billionaires inherited their fortune, only 63, including Kulczyk, are actively growing their wealth."

The heiress to one of Eastern Europe’s largest fortunes is the daughter of Jan Kulczyk, who was Poland's richest man with a net worth of USD 4 billion when he died in 2015.
