The rise is automatic and recipients do not need to complete any additional paperwork, the ministry of family, labour and social policy in Warsaw announced.

Poland's family allowance, originally called Family 500Plus, and now renamed Family 800Plus, was introduced on April 1, 2016, the bankier.pl website reported.

The cash grant has since been provided for some 7 million children, supporting the incomes of Polish families to the tune of around PLN 255 billion (EUR 58.7 billion), officials in Warsaw said.
