Jurek Owsiak, the head of WOŚP, who recently had to undergo hand surgery after an accident, shared the news about this financial support for flood victims in Poland.

"In response to the natural disaster in Poland, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation (WOŚP) is deploying 40 million PLN (over 9.3 million EUR) to purchase essential supplies.

We are reaching out to the Crisis Management Center set up for this situation and are ready to assist. If needed, we are also prepared to start a fundraising campaign," he stated via social media.

WOŚP is once again supporting flood victims, a tradition for the foundation. In 1997, during a major flood in Poland, they organized over 150 shipments of aid. In 2010, they conducted the "Stop Floods" campaign to purchase equipment for Volunteer Fire Brigades to address the effects of flooding.
