The poll suggests that the country’s previous ruling nationalist-populist Law and Justice party (PiS), even with support from the right-wing Confederation, would lack the majority needed to govern.
The survey results, published Wednesday in Rzeczpospolita, show KO leading with 31.3% support. This is a slight dip from 33.1% in an October survey by the same agency and lower than other recent surveys, including a CBOS poll showing KO at 33% and a United Surveys poll at 33.6%. Together with Third Way (9.8%) and the Left (8.6%), the coalition would hold a majority with 254 parliamentary seats.
KO’s popularity has grown compared to its performance in the October 15, 2023, parliamentary elections, where it garnered 30.7%. PiS, which previously had 35.38%, now polls below 30%, at 29.6%.
The poll for Rzeczpospolita was conducted on October 25–26, 2024, with a sample of 1,069 respondents.
