Women’s volleyball: Poles power ahead in Plovdiv

Poland beat Spain 3-0 in the group stage of the Women's European Volleyball Championship on Monday, extending their winning streak to four games in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

The Polish team stunned Germany 3-1 in their opening match at the tournament on August 19 and then overpowered Greece 3-0 a day later.

The Poles defeated the Czechs 3-1 on Saturday.

Poland are top of their group B with 12 points and will take on hosts Bulgaria in their last group-stage match on Wednesday.

The 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship is being held in Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Romania from August 18 to September 4.
