Football: Legia Warsaw make Europa League after win over Slavia Prague

Polish football champions Legia Warsaw have qualified for the Europa League group stage after a 2-1 home win over Czech side Slavia Prague.

Azerbaijani striker Mahir Emreli scored two goals for the Polish team against the 10-man visitors in the 59th and 70th minutes of the game in Warsaw on Thursday.

A week earlier, Legia drew 2-2 with Slavia in the first leg of their Europa League round four qualifier in Prague.

The Polish top-flight club earlier this month saw its hopes of qualifying for the Champions League group stage crushed by Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
