The 21-year-old made $9.9 million through her superb performance this season, with $5m more earned by means of her off-field contracts.

Świątek this year claimed two Grand Slam titles, the French Open and US Open, and has stayed atop the global Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking since she moved to No.1 in early April.

In September, the Pole signed with IMG Tennis, a global management company representing the world’s biggest tennis icons.

Through her deal with the company, Świątek endorsed global sportswear producer Asics and Polish insurance giant PZU.

Japanese tennis player, Naomi Osaka, topped the ranking above American tennis player Serena Williams and China’s freestyle skier Eileen Gu.

The list has been dominated by female tennis players, seven of whom made it to the TOP 10, alongside one freestyle skier, one gymnast, and one golfer.

Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams were the only sportswomen who made it to the TOP 50 of the all-gender Forbes list of highest-paid athletes.
