Home favourite Ryoyu Kobayashi won the competition on Friday, while Halvor Egner Granerud of Norway was third.
Poland’s Kubacki last week finished second in a World Cup competition on home snow in the southern Polish mountain resort of Zakopane.
The 2022/2023 ski-jumping World Cup circuit, run by the International Ski Federation (FIS), features a total of 39 competitions, including 32 individual events, in various countries.
After 15 individual events this season, Kubacki tops the overall World Cup standings, with 1,090 points, ahead of Granerud with 956 points and Slovenia's Anze Lanisek with 912.
Austrian Thomas Thurnbichler last year took over as the head coach of the Polish men’s ski-jumping team to replace Czech Michal Doležal.
