Women’s volleyball: Poland beat Belgium, reach knockout stages of European championships

Poland have picked up their third win at the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship, sealing a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Poles defeated Belgium 3-0 in their penultimate group-stage match on Tuesday.

Poland beat Slovenia 3-0 in their opening game at the tournament and followed up with a 3-1 win against Hungary. The Polish team then lost 1-3 to Serbia.

The Poles will now take on Ukraine in their final group-stage match in Ghent, northwestern Belgium, on Thursday.

The 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship, also known as the EuroVolley tournament, is being held in Belgium, Estonia, Germany and Italy from August 15 to September 3.
