Polish ski mountaineers celebrate a historical achievement in the Himalayas

Makalu and Kangchenjunga are respectively the 5th and the 3rd tallest mountain on Earth. A Polish ski mountaineer, Bartek Ziemski, conquered them both in recent days - with no Sherpa support and no bottled oxygen.

And as if it wasn't enough, following the climb he made a successful ski descent from both these summits - in the case of Kangchenjunga as the first human in history.
