American Coco Gauff has risen to second place, following her defeat by Świątek in the Paris semifinals. Świątek now holds a substantial, 3707-point lead over Gauff.
Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka, who was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the French Open, has dropped to third place.
Italian Jasmine Paolini made a notable debut in the top ten, securing seventh place after facing Świątek in the Paris final. Other changes in the rankings include Poland’s Magda Linette, who moved up to 44th place, and Magdalena Fręch, who fell to 52nd.
Świątek has already secured her spot in the season-ending WTA Finals, which features the top eight players of the year. In the WTA Race ranking, which will determine the remaining participants, Sabalenka holds the second position, with Kazakhstan's Jelena Rybakina in third.
