After a break caused by a suspension due to trace amounts of doping found in her system, the Polish tennis star plans to fight for top titles once again.
The 2025 Australian Open will begin on January 6, with the final matches scheduled for three weeks later, on January 26. After the opening week, the players will begin their matches on January 12. The event organizers have announced the official entry lists.
Alongside Iga Świątek, who has participated in the Australian Open six times but only reached the semifinals once (in 2022), other Polish athletes will also compete, including Magdalena Fręch, Magda Linette, and Hubert Hurkacz.
Świątek will face her biggest rivals in 2025, including defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, as well as Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, Qinwen Zheng, and Jelena Rybakina.
