President of Poland addresses concerns over blocking Maja Włoszczowska's IOC spot

The politician emphasized that the position is prestigious but not paid, and the final decision on his acceptance will be made by the IOC.

The president also clarified that Maja Włoszczowska is already a member of the IOC, representing athletes in a full-time role, so his candidacy does not block her position on the Committee.

President Duda emphasizes Olympic involvement ahead of IOC election in 2026

Andrzej Duda highlighted that he is well-known in the Olympic community for his involvement in the Olympic movement, both in Poland and internationally.

The final decision regarding his election to the IOC will be made after the end of his presidential term, during the 2026 session.
