Poland had a successful performance in the capital of Piedmont in the northwestern part of Italy, particularly in cross-country skiing and biathlon, according to Andrzej Burzyński, deputy head of the Polish delegation.
Competitors from Poland secured a total of 14 medals. Izabela Marcisz won two golds in cross-country skiing, while biathletes Barbara Skrobiszewska and Michał Gołaś also earned multiple golds.

Amelia Liszka, an unexpected star, claimed three silver medals in biathlon. Additionally, the team won five bronze medals, with notable contributions from individuals like Aneta Kobryń and the mixed biathlon relay.
As noted by the Polish state news agency PAP, Poland has hosted the Winter Universiade twice, with Zakopane, located in the Tatra Mountains, serving as the organizer in both 1993 and 2001.
