The Polish duo fell short of reaching the final after a tough match. The tournament was played in a relaxed atmosphere, with players smiling and joking on court. It is a precursor to the main tennis events in Indian Wells, one of the most important tournaments in the WTA and ATP calendars.

In previous years, the Polish pair participated twice – reaching the final in 2023 and being eliminated in the first round in 2024.

In their opening match, Świątek and Hurkacz defeated the Italian pair Jasmine Paolini and Lorenzo Musetti 10-6.

Tournament winners Madison Keys and Tommy Paul lost in the final to Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz 4-10.

Now, Świątek and Hurkacz are set to compete in the main draw at Indian Wells, where they will both start their campaigns from the second round.
