The game kicks off at 8:45 p.m. at the National Stadium in Warsaw.

The Poles, captained by star striker Robert Lewandowski, aim to make a strong start to their qualifying campaign in front of home fans.

Poland are ranked 35th worldwide by football's governing body FIFA, while Lithuania are No. 142 in the FIFA table.

On Monday, the Polish team will take on Malta in its next qualifying fixture on home turf.

Poland have been drawn to face Lithuania, Malta, Finland and the Netherlands or Spain in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in North America.

The team that loses the Nations League quarterfinal between the Netherlands and Spain will complete qualifying Group G, which contains Poland.

The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It will feature a total of 48 teams, 16 more than in Qatar 2022.

Poland reached the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar before being eliminated by eventual runners-up France.
