The women’s quadruple sculls team of Katarzyna Zillmann, Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska, Marta Wieliczko and Katarzyna Boruch earned another bronze for Poland.

The 2020 European Rowing Championships were held in Poland’s Poznań from October 9 to 11.

The championships, originally scheduled for June, marked the first international competition in the sport since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, according to officials.

Fans were not allowed to attend due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, but much of the action was broadcast live internationally.

Poland’s Poznań previously hosted Europe’s rowing elite competing for continental championship titles in 1958, 2007 and 2015.

Team Poland won four medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze, at last year's European Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland.
