On Saturday, the penultimate day of the championships, Poland’s Piotr Żyła, Andrzej Stękała, Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki took the bronze in the men’s ski-jumping team competition, finishing behind winners Germany and runners-up Austria.
A week earlier, Poland’s Żyła won the gold in the men's individual normal hill event, beating Germany's second-placed Karl Geiger and Slovenia's third-placed Anze Lanisek.
Twenty-three Polish athletes competed in the 2021 Nordic World Ski Championships, which ran from February 24 to March 7 in Oberstdorf.
Team Poland included 11 ski jumpers, both men and women, 10 cross-country skiers, and two Nordic combined competitors.
It finished seventh in the overall medals table. Norway topped the standings, with a total of 31 medals, 13 gold, 12 silver and six bronze.
Poland won two medals, gold and silver, when the championships were held in Seefeld, Austria, two years ago.
