The 19-year-old Pole gave Pliskova no chance, notching up a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory in Sunday's final, which lasted only 46 minutes.

Thanks to Świątek’s third career title, she is on Monday set to climb the WTA ranks from No. 15 to No. 10.

The rising Polish tennis star in February won the Adelaide International tournament in Australia, claiming her second singles title.

Świątek in October won the French Open, claiming her maiden Grand Slam title and becoming the first Pole to lift a Grand Slam singles trophy.
