Great Britain’s Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre took the gold, while France’s Camille Lecointre and Aloïse Retornaz scooped the bronze in a race at the Enoshima Yacht Harbour in the Japanese city of Fujisawa.
After the race, the French team filed a protest against the British crew, alleging that the gold medalists "team-raced" to purposefully benefit the Polish pair.
But the protest was dismissed.
The Polish duet’s silver is the seventh medal for Poland at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
Polish athletes have so far earned two gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the Games in Japan.
