Visually impaired track cyclist Marcin Polak and his sighted pilot Michał Ładosz took the bronze in the men’s 4000 meters tandem pursuit event on Wednesday, winning Poland's first medal at the Games in the Japanese capital.
Meanwhile, wheelchair fencer Adrian Castro took the silver in the men's sabre individual event to secure another medal for his country.
Castro was beaten by China's Yanke Feng in the final bout.
More than 4,400 competitors from around the world are taking part in this year's Paralympics, which kicked off on Tuesday to celebrate the sporting talent of athletes with various impairments.
Team Poland is competing in 12 sports, including para-athletics, table tennis, swimming, weightlifting and kayaking.
Poland won 39 medals and finished 10th in the overall medal standings at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Polish Radio is a media partner of the Polish team for the Tokyo Paralympics, which run until September 5.
