Scores of riders, drivers and crew, including former nine-time rally world champion Sebastien Loeb, completed the challenge on Friday after competing in various vehicles over 12 stages.

Poland's Marek Goczał and co-driver Łukasz Łaskawiec finished fourth overall in the utility terrain vehicle (UTV) class, ahead of countrymen Michał Goczał and Szymon Gospodarczyk.

Meanwhile, Polish driver Jakub Przygoński placed sixth in the car category, in which Qatar's Nasser Al-Attiyah outraced France's Loeb to clinch his fourth Dakar Rally title after leading from the first stage on New Year’s Day.
