Swimming: Poland’s Wasick wins European silver in Rome

Poland’s Katarzyna Wasick has taken the silver in the women’s 50 metres freestyle at the European Aquatics Championships in Rome.

Sarah Sjöström of Sweden won the event on Tuesday, with a time of 23.91, while Wasick touched in at 24.20.

Valerie van Roon of the Netherlands finished third, with 24.64.

Wasick's silver was Poland's second medal at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, which began in the Italian capital last Thursday and run until August 21.
