Olympic champion Wojciech Nowicki earned a silver for Poland in the men's hammer throw, while Natalia Kaczmarek added another in the women’s 400 metres.
More than 2,100 international athletes, including almost 70 Poles, competed for medals at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, which were held in Budapest from August 19 to 27.
Team Poland earned four medals, one gold and three silver, at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States.
