"In June 2025, Poland will host another major handball tournament," the Polish Handball Association (ZPRP) said in a statement last week.
"In recent years, Poland has hosted the European junior championships in 2013 and 2014, the Men's Euro 2016 tournament, the Women's Under-18 World Championship in 2018, and the Men's World Championship in 2023," it added.
"In 2025, Poland will host the Men's U21 World Championship, followed by the Women's Euro 2026 tournament a year later, and the Women's World Championship in 2031," the statement also said.
The national handball governing body announced that preparations for next year's tournament were gaining momentum in Poland's southern Silesia region.
The 2025 Men's Under-21 Handball World Championship will be held in southern Poland from June 18 to 29.
The tournament will feature 32 teams of young players from around the world.
