The 27-year-old Pole and the 38-year-old Taiwanese have two Grand Slam mixed doubles titles to their name. In January, they won the Australian Open in Melbourne, and in July, they triumphed at the Wimbledon championships in London.

Meanwhile, Poland's Iga Świątek has booked her place in the fourth round of the US Open women's singles, with a straight-set win over Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

The Polish world No. 1 is set to take on Russia's Liudmila Samsonova for a place in the quarterfinals at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday.

In the men's singles, Poland's seventh-seeded Hubert Hurkacz crashed out of the tournament in New York after being eliminated by Australia's Jordan Thompson in the second round.

The 2024 US Open runs until September 9.
