The Polish team, made up of Piotr Ludwiczak, Kamil Sieradzki, Kornelia Fiedkiewicz and Katarzyna Wasick, finished in 1:28.80, setting a new national record, state news agency PAP reported.
Italy claimed the gold with a time of 1:28.50, while Canada edged out Poland for the silver, finishing just 0.20 seconds ahead.

Earlier in the competition, Team Poland won bronze in the men's 4x100m freestyle relay, while Kacper Stokowski secured another in the men's 100m backstroke. Krzysztof Chmielewski added a third in the men's 200m butterfly.
Poland's Sieradzki and Stokowski have each earned two medals at the championships, held at the Duna Arena in Budapest.
The 2024 World Short-Course Swimming Championships run until Sunday.
Poland won two medals, a silver and a bronze, at the 2022 championships in Melbourne, Australia.
