His song "Kiss Cam" (Podryw Roku) this month debuted at No. 198 of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. album chart compiled by the American music magazine, which ranks the top songs based on digital sales and online streaming from more than 200 territories worldwide excluding the United States.

"Kiss Cam" is also the first global chart hit sung in Polish.

Matczak, better known by his stage name Mata, reached the chart by having his song streamed 10.3 million times outside of the United States in the week ending July 1, according to the billboard.com website.

So far, "Kiss Cam" has racked up over 21 million YouTube views.

The son of a law professor and the headmistress of an English-language school, Matczak hit the big time in Poland in 2020 with a song called "Patointeligencja," which became an overnight smash and has since reached over 51 million views for its official video.
