The Polish embassy building at 47 Portland Place has witnessed some memorable moments from Poland's glorious but turbulent history since it was purchased by the Polish foreign ministry in 1921.
A guided tour of the building, which was once the seat of the Polish government-in-exile and is now marking its 100th year as the headquarters of the Polish embassy in the UK, was a chance for visitors to learn about its fascinating history.
The public could also enjoy the building's stunning interiors and its modest collection of artworks and objects representative of various periods of European art.

It was the third time the Polish embassy joined Open House London. The first time was in 2018 when Poland celebrated the centenary of regaining its independence.
